Evening Class

Evening classes are run in 10 week groups for both beginners and turners who want to improve technique.
​​
Small friendly classes with a maximum of 4 students in a purpose built workshop, each student will have their own work station with lathe, tools, dust extraction and PPE, anyone who has their own tools would be welcome to bring them along.
The venue has anti-fatigue flooring, breakout areas, toilets, tea/coffee making facilities and biscuits!
Classes commence at 7pm and finish around 10pm.

Beginners Class​​
​
The course is designed to answer all the questions a beginner has; explaining and demonstrating the equipment and tools needed; methods of sourcing wood and processing your own wood; instruction on the safe use of all tools and machinery; methods of sanding and finishing.
​
Project based tuition emphasising both safety and the importance of getting the basics right from the start, putting you on the right path to getting the most enjoyment possible from your new passion.

Each student receives a comprehensive set of course notes at the start of the course to keep for future reference.

Improvers Class
​
The course is designed to take turners with basic skills and improve tool technique, skills and knowledge of turning. Ideally suited for turners with a basic understanding or students who have completed the Beginners evening class.
Project based tuition emphasising both safety and the importance of getting the basics right from the start, putting you on the right path to getting the most enjoyment possible from your passion.

Projects will include bowl making, platters, and goblets.
